Now Enrolling for 2019-2020
For the 2019-2020 school year Hope Lutheran School is introducing our new Expanded Academic Track. This track is designed to offer additional academic opportunities supplementing the normal instructional day. With this change we will now have 4 days of extended academic instruction (8:00 a.m. – 4:05 p.m.), followed by an optional Expanded Track (4:05 p.m.- 5:30 p.m.), supplemented with an optional Friday Day-Camp.
In recent years several trends have affected the education of today’s students. These include shortening the number of instructional hours and replacing the traditional models of education with a focus on technology. Our Expanded Academic Track recognizes the value that technology plays in our daily lives and the need to learn and become comfortable with using electronics in our every day lives. However, the Expanded Track also allows for sufficient instruction and focus on non-technology based learning as well.
Some subject areas that we will be able to add to our academic program may include:
- Computer programming
- Foreign language
- Expanded music
- Project-based S.T.E.M. activities
Because of the Optional Expanded Track we are able to virtually eliminate the need for after-school care. This means that many families will now find that they can afford to provide their children with a high-quality, Christian-based education for about the same price as they are currently paying for many after-school programs.
