School/Church Secretary

Hope Lutheran School is currently seeking a secretary for the church and school.  This is a part-time position.

Primary Responsibilities Include

  • Greeting and checking in visitors to the church or school
  • Answer phone calls, answer questions and provide information whenever possible
  • Sort mail and coordinate messages for staff
  • Schedule appointments, handle correspondence, and other duties as assigned
  • Assist the Pastor and School Staff as needed
  • Prepare Worship bulletins and announcements
  • Maintain congregation records with Pastor (mailing lists, birthday lists, etc.)
  • Prepare mailings as needed
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment, order supplies as needed
  • Maintain facility schedule

School Specific Responsibilities

  • Provide general information about the school to those inquiring by phone
  • Maintain individual records for student milk/lunch cards
  • Receive payments and write receipts
  • Handle late check-in and early dismissal of students
  • Maintain attendance records
  • Assist with the maintenance of school records
